Is it hard to start pilot training in Florida as a foreigner

Thinking about going to Florida to start flight training. I’m from overseas and not sure what the first step even is. Do I need a visa first or do schools help with that? Also wondering if anyone knows which schools are used to working with non-US students, especially from scratch.

You don’t need a visa before talking to them – they help you with all the documents you need to apply for M1 or F1 depending on your program. They also guide you through financial paperwork, insurance, even tell you what you’ll need to show at the embassy. The instructors are solid, fleet is well-maintained, and the Florida weather means you fly a lot. They’re celebrating 40 years now so they’ve got a deal running on tuition too. Good place to start.
